Do you want to have your professional and/or personal experience recognized in order to obtain a higher level qualification? The Polytech Clermont Engineering degrees are accessible in the 6 specializations through the VAE pathway.

The Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE) allows any person engaged in professional life to obtain a professional certification by validating experience gained through professional and/or extra-professional activities. The certification – which can be a degree, a professional title, or a professional qualification certificate – must be registered in the National Directory of Professional Certifications (RNCP).
Our 6 degrees are accessible via VAE. Their RNCP sheets can be downloaded at the bottom of the page. You will find the targeted activities, validated skills, evaluation methods, sectors of activity, and types of employment accessible for each degree.

Admission

VAE is accessible to anyone (employee, job seeker, ...) presenting professional experience without a minimum duration.
However, for a successful process, it is strongly recommended to hold at least a Bac+2 degree and several months of professional experience in responsibilities at a managerial level or equivalent.
Prerequisites: Labor Code Articles R6411-1 to R6422-12 ((Law no. 2022-1598 of 21 Dec. 2022))

Application
  • Registration
After selecting the degree that matches your experience, complete the application form HERE.
At the end of the process, you will be required to demonstrate B2 level in English.

  • Schedule
Submission of the feasibility dossier from September > Validation of the feasibility dossier within 2 months > Preparation of the experience portfolio with or without support > Submission of the experience portfolio in year N+2 > Oral defense in year N+2

Public institution not subject to VAT under Article 261-4-4°a of the General Tax Code.

Before the jury session, the candidate must complete administrative registration with Clermont Auvergne INP and pay the registration fees for the current year. For information, for the 2024-2025 academic year, these fees amount to €628.
As VAE falls under Book IV-6th Part of the Labor Code, it is considered a continuing education action. As such, it can be financed by the various bodies involved in continuing professional training expenses.
