A Japanese delegation visited Polytech Clermont from September 26 to 30, 2022.

Cédric Delattre, Research Coordinator at Polytech Clermont and junior member of the Institut Universitaire de France, welcomed a Japanese delegation, including Professor Shinji Sakai from Osaka University and his team (Division of Chemical Engineering, Department of Materials Engineering Science).

These exchanges are part of his Franco-Japanese project, PHC Sakura, which aims to develop new 3D printing technologies for the synthesis of polysaccharide hydrogels intended for tissue engineering.

During this visit, a new exchange agreement (MOU), allowing the first outbound mobility for Biological Engineering students, was discussed and approved by the International Relations Office of Clermont Auvergne INP, represented by Raphaël Tobias Beilicke.

The Japanese delegation presented their university and research activities in tissue engineering to 4th-year students. Internship interviews were offered to welcome, starting in April 2023, a student from the cohort to work on this innovative project, PHC-SAKURA.
