Franco-Irish scientific collaboration on the BIO-SOLVE project
Published on May 28, 2026 – Updated on May 28, 2026
On 26–27 May, Polytech Clermont had the pleasure of welcoming, within the GePEB research axis of the Institut Pascal, two researchers from University College Dublin (UCD): Dr Roderick Jones and Recep Kaan Dereli.
This meeting is part of the BIO-SOLVE project, awarded under the PHC Ulysses 2026–2027 programme and led by Jean-Romain Bautista Angeli and Fabrice Audonnet, in collaboration with Irish research teams.
The project is co-funded by ADEME and SEAI – Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland.
BIO-SOLVE aims to better assess the relevance of using either dry or wet anaerobic digestion for the valorisation of lignocellulosic biomass, notably through the use of ATG (thermogravimetric analysis).
These two days of exchanges helped strengthen scientific collaborations between France and Ireland around energy transition and biomass valorisation challenges.
We would also like to thank all the teams and partners involved in this project:
